The artwork in this book was completed during a residency at the Eugene O'Neill National Park in Danville, California.

It is with profound pleasure that the Breakfast Group brings their work to Tracy. Paintings, drawings, sculpture, and photography emerge from this current, challenging period as the Breakfast Group musters for fresh coffee and a fresh start.

This is a project of 50 paintings in 50 days. The books contains 50 watercolors of signage in the landscape. The project originates as a fundraiser for the Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica, California.

The Breakfast Group was born in the Sixties of a group of artists teaching at the University of California at Berkeley who began meeting every week to discuss art, teaching, and individual pursuits. As coffee flowed, so did conversation extending to film and politics and, naturally, sports. This book contains 38 images of original watercolors of cats, all sizes, shapes and colors. The paintings, cat portraits, are by Donna Fenstermaker, artist and teacher.
